I think it is only fitting that the first posting on my website in a year should be to announce that I will be on BOB&TOM this Friday, June 25th, 2010. I was only home a few hours from the show for the Soldiers of 2nd Battalion, 321st Airborne Field Artillery when I was up at Brae Burn Country Club doing a show with the Great Judy Gold. What a night.

Friday night June 12th 2009

Tonight I had the great opportunity of performing for the 2nd Battalion of the 321st Airborne Field Artillery Group of the 82nd Airborne Division. To be able to entertain these brave young men and women who are in the process of deploying to Afganistan is one of the greatest experiences of my career. God Speed!

May 27, 2009 Just back from Amsterdam and Paris

My son and I got back this afternoon from a 7 day whirlwind tour of Amsterdam and Paris.

It was 9 years ago that Nash and I made our first trip over to Europe, then he was 15 and now he is 24.

we did lots of great sightseeing in amsterdam including the Anne Frank House and THE ZOO.

Paris took us to the top of the eiffel tower and Truffault's grave.

At night I managed to do a some killer shows at some great venues.

It all started with 2 nights at the AMSTERDAM COMEDY FESTIVAL

and then one night at TOOMLERS Comedy Club. I get such a kick out of doing my show to an audience of folks who have English as there second language, and they still get all my jokes.

We also had a great time going over and seeing the Boom Chicago Improv show. Real Chicago Improvisors, great stuff. Nash wants to come over and work someday, and I think he can do it.

The Paris show was Produced by my old friend Karel Beer. He filmed the whole thing, hopefully I can get some of it posted on here on the web someday if I can figure out how to do it.

May 15, Tampa Florida with Ray Ellin and Dan Naturman

When it rains it pours. Yesterday I was flown down to Tampa and met up with a couple of great comic friends. Ray Ellin and Dan Naturman. Had dinner with the guy who hired us and ended up going to bed early. Today we did a noon show, and what a show it was!

It was a trade show and the producer decided to bring a real New York City Comedy Show to people at the event and boy did they get one.

Dan and Ray are so funny. How is it I get to work with great people who I like and get along with AND they are soooo funny!

Once the show was over I was in a cab to the airport and was back home, 24 hours roundtrip.

Tonight I got to see my son Nash perform at the NCT. NATIONAL COMEDY THEATER. And I couldn't be prouder. He did a great show and fit right in with the other 6 improvisors.


The format is fairly simple, 2 teams of 3 improvisors and one referee. The teams compete in mock battle performing various improv games and points are awarded by the audience. Nothing serious just lots of fun, the referee is a riot.

April 30, 2009, JCC Fundraiser

Well tonight was sure great.

My good friend and fellow comic Cory Kahani (from last comic Standing fame) put together a fundraiser for her son's pre-school. The theme was comics with kids. So it was Karen Bergreen, Tom Cotter, Cory and Me.

I am one of the lucky ones, I get to work with some of the best and funniest comics in the business.

Karen Bergreen has so many great jokes revolving around her kids but my favorite is that her oldest kid,who is in grade school (her youngest is in a pre school), asks who her favorite is and she said he is because he spends more time in school every day than his brother.

Cory and Tom and I (along with Brad Zimmerman) do a show called PASTRAMI ON RYE WITH MAYO, so we are seeing more and more of each other.

Well we all kiilled and I had a woman try and set me up with her sister. That's what I love about JCC's someone is always trying to set me up with a pretty gal.

Monday Night april 20

I am sitting at "the table" at the Comedy Cellar in NYC. Outside it is raining like cats and dogs, (an expression that a lesser comedian would analyze to some humorous effect)

Today was fascinating starting out with a trip to the rhemotologist to find out why my shoulder clicks (it thinks I am on TV and it is trying to change the channel) and ending with a nap after dinner, (I put together an old fashion pot roast. Putting it together means I took it out of the freezer before I went to the Rhemotologist, and called Nash around 2:30 to put it in the oven)

I wish I was getting up early to go on the Bob and Tom show tomorrow. Ce la vie.

I will be at Broadway comedy this weekend in NYC Friday and Saturday, Good shows check them out. More Later.
